Top 5 Beauty Retail Apps in Central America in Q1 2022

During the first quarter of 2022, the top beauty retail applications in Central America demonstrated varied performance metrics on a unified platform. Here’s a closer look at their weekly downloads and active user trends, with data sourced from Sensor Tower.

SEPHORA had an interesting quarter with fluctuating download numbers. Downloads peaked at 4.2K in the week of February 28, while the lowest was 2.1K in the week of March 21. Active users for the app saw a steady increase, starting from around 10.3K at the end of December and reaching up to approximately 14.4K by the end of February.

Terramar Brands also showed a varied download trend. The downloads increased from 1.2K in mid-January to a peak of 2.4K by the end of February. However, the app did not record any data for active users during this period.

Chula - Belleza sin límites had a more stable but declining download trend. Starting with 2.2K downloads in the last week of December, the numbers decreased to 962 by the end of March. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 13K to 16K throughout the quarter.

SUGAR Cosmetics: Shop Makeup experienced modest download numbers, peaking at 833 in the week of February 7. Active users showed a gradual increase, beginning at 1.2K at the end of December and reaching up to 1.6K by mid-February.

Lastly, Sol Beauty And Care had a consistent but lower download rate. The highest downloads were 807 in the week of January 24, and the lowest was 335 in the week of March 21. Like Terramar Brands, Sol Beauty And Care did not report any active user data.
